The Ierna Family

The Ierna family is a large and extended one. We originally hailed from Sicily.

I’m not much of a genealogist, but I gather that my paternal great grandparents were straight off the boat. Their listings can be found on the Ellis Island site.

You can find pictures of the family here.

  • Hi. I don’t know where to email you but this is not about being an Ierna. You seem like a good engineer with the LCD conversion. I’d like to ask how you can salvage, say, an iMac’s microphone and speaker (Indigo 350 G3). I’d like to connect the iMac and speakers solder a volume control of somekind and solder it to the power cord. Would there be transistor or capacitor or any gadget that has to be between the speakers/mic/volume control and the power cord? By the way would you know this problem: My iMac’s power LED lights up but not the screen and no ding. Where could the problem be (one of transistors in the PAV? the logicboard? the CRT itself?). I’ve done the resets and new battery stuff but no luck on those. Recommendations are welcome. I’m from the Philippines. Thanks.
